Financial Accountant (part time)
Our client is a scaling up business lender operating across the UK growing its headcount by 50% within the next 6 months. This is a newly created part time role reporting to and working closely with the CFO and external accounting providers. Duties to include;
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts and analysis
- Responsible for the month end close including journal postings, fixed assets and balance sheet recs
- Overseeing the work of the outsourced bookkeeper responsible for accounts payable and bank reconciliations
- Supporting the external accountants with completion of annual financial statements and corporation tax returns
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
- Support the external audit
- Prepare monthly reporting to their funding providers
- Support key finance projects such as continued automation and reporting across the group SPV’s.
- Monthly and quarterly interest, facility fee and commission calculations
Key skills required
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience of month end close and financial/management accounting and reporting
- Any experience of lending/financial services/fintech desirable not essential
- Someone happy to be hands on in a small yet growing business
Work from home/hybrid
- This could be mainly a remote role to 2 days per week in the office
Hours
- This is a 3 day per week role or the hours could be spread across 4 or 5 days per week to suit the candidate.
Salary: To £60,000 pro rata
